Since Australia has reopened its borders, there is one more opportunity for Europeans to discover it: from June 2022, in fact, it will become a more easily reachable destination thanks to the new direct flight of Qantas, the national airline, which from 23 June will connect Continental Europe to Downunder three times a week.
The direct Rome – Perth flight with final destination Sydney (for now only a seasonal connection of 15 hours and 45 minutes until October 6, 2022) is the first in history to operate a non-stop flight between continental Europe and Australia and gives the Italian capital the record of being the only direct connection point between the two continents.
